At Emory Mills, our team is the heart of everything we do. Each member of our staff is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and meaningful environment where residents are known, respected, and truly cared for. We are proud to introduce the people who make Emory Mills feel like home.
Christina Hampton
Executive Director
Christina helps families navigate the senior living journey by listening to their needs and guiding them toward the care and support their loved ones deserve. She also represents Emory Mills throughout the community, sharing the heart and the organization's mission.
Christina especially enjoys getting to know families and hearing their stories, while welcoming them into a vibrant and supportive community where residents can truly thrive. Her passion for senior living is inspired by her grandmother, who lived with Alzheimer's and played a significant role in her life.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, two dogs, and two lizards. She also loves thrifting and photography. Families and residents should know that Christina genuinely cares about every person who walks through the doors and wants the very best for them.
Bob Brown, BSN
Director of Nursing
As Director of Nursing, Bob is responsible for overseeing the healthcare needs of Emory Mills residents while coordinating the Care Partners who support daily routines and overall well-being. His role focuses on ensuring residents receive thoughtful, attentive care in a safe and supportive environment.
Bob especially enjoys interacting with residents and building relationships, sharing that they truly feel like family to him. With 35 years of nursing experience, his long-standing passion for caring for others continues to guide his work each day.
Outside of Emory Mills, Bob enjoys golfing, listening to music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends at trivia nights. He wants families to know that he treats every resident as if they were his own family and approaches his work with deep respect, viewing himself as a guest in their home. Bob hopes that everyone who walks through the doors of Emory Mills immediately feels that it is a wonderful place to live.
Beverly Smith
Life Engagement Director
Beverly brings purpose and joy to each day at Emory Mills by creating meaningful experiences that reflect residents' interests, abilities, and life stories. Using the Hearthstone I'm Still Here® approach, she meets each resident where they are and focuses on connection, dignity, and engagement.
What Beverly enjoys most is learning from residents and building genuine friendships through shared time and experiences. Her passion for senior care grew from caring for her own parents during their illnesses, where she learned how powerful it can be to simply listen and honor someone's life journey.
Outside of work, Beverly enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring events around downtown Knoxville, and staying active at the gym. She wants residents and families to know that she is all about joy, connection, and creating moments that make life a little brighter. Beverly hopes that everyone who walks into Emory Mills feels immediately at home in a place filled with warmth, laughter, and people who truly care.
Brittany Bolin
Culinary Director
As Culinary Director, Brittany leads the food service department at Emory Mills with a focus on planning nutritious, appealing menus and creating a welcoming, home-like dining experience. She works closely with her team to meet the diverse dietary needs and preferences of each resident, making mealtimes something residents can truly enjoy.
Brittany especially enjoys the creative side of menu development and finds great fulfillment in knowing that her work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the people she serves. Her passion for senior living comes from the sense of purpose she finds in building relationships through comforting, familiar food.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family. She wants residents and families to know that every meal is prepared with care, intention, and respect for the individuals she serves. Brittany hopes that residents and families experience Emory Mills as a place where comfort, connection, and care are felt in every detail, including around the table.
Becky Williams
Business Office Director
As Business Office Director, Becky supports Emory Mills through accounts receivable, accounts payable, and human resources, ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly for residents, families, and staff.
Becky enjoys learning new things and growing in her role. Her path to senior living is deeply personal. After losing her mother before having the opportunity to care for her, Becky found fulfillment and purpose in senior care, where she now feels that missing piece in her life has been restored.
Outside of work, Becky loves baking during the fall and winter months and spending her spring and summer reading and gardening. She hopes residents and families feel comfortable, supported, and at ease from the moment they walk through the doors of Emory Mills.
Alec McMurray
Maintenance Director
As Maintenance Director, Alec oversees the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the Emory Mills building, equipment, and grounds, helping ensure a secure and comfortable environment for residents.
Alec enjoys interacting with residents, taking time to talk, help, and build trust while addressing needs that directly impact their comfort and safety. He was drawn to senior living because of the clear sense of purpose the work provides and values knowing his efforts make a positive difference each day.
Outside of work, Alec enjoys golfing, listening to music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends at trivia nights. He treats every resident like family and approaches his role with respect, viewing himself as a guest in their home. Alec hopes residents and families feel warmth, safety, and trust when they walk into Emory Mills, confident they are in a well cared for environment.
